Hood is fast, and good at kiting, thats it. Not to mention hoods shells like to shatter. Her sigma was buffed but its her gun layout that makes her shells funky, the turrets fore and aft are really far apart for 8 guns making her shells seem wonky. Hood eats full pen dmg and HE dmg by the bucket load due to its huge superstructure. I dont remember them ever increasing her pen, just her fuse timers, which arguably made her worse.ģ81 having great overmatch at T7? not really considering there at T6 with 16inch guns. ![]() Roma has some good things to her in Tier VIII, but her trollish guns undermine any and everything good about her. Mitigate HE spam damage with 51mm deck armor.ģ2kt speed lets the player easily save the ship if one has to retreat. But it's that one adverse thing that offsets all the good about her. ![]() Colorado, Nagato) can get bent over hard by RNG. ![]() She is one of those 8-gun BBs with good Sigma, but the truth is that with only 8 rifles, even a 2.0 Sigma BB (i.e. Not saying you should just show flat broadside all willy nilly, but if you know how to survive in a BB, you'll be fine. When she came out, people automatically assumed Hood would easily implode the moment BB shells land anywhere near her. + Citadel protection is actually pretty decent at the waterline. + 51mm deck armor is great in mitigating raw HE Pen damage. + 381mm guns have great Overmatch benefits in Tier VII, most especially when top tier. + 32kts for a BB in Tier VII is fantastic. It used to be that Tier VI Warspite had better AP performance than VII Hood, now they are the same. The last big change to Hood was that her AP penetration was improved. ![]()
